The mission of the WPEO is to increase access to business opportunities for WBEs
A lavish champagne breakfast, awards presentations and lots and lots of fruitful networking marked the tenth anniversary celebration of the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO). As a regional affiliate of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), WPEO increases access to business opportunities for WBEs, certifies them and promotes their advancement.
The breakfast was attended by women business owners and staffers, and by supplier diversity executives of sponsoring companies. It took place at the posh Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York City. Among the guests was Roberta Renard, owner of certified WBE Renard Communications and publisher of Diversity/Careers.
In his congratulatory letter, Michael R. Bloomberg, mayor of New York City, commended WPEO for its “tireless efforts to level the playing field for women in business.”
